MG Landscape
A healthy lawn and a household with pets can share the same yard. We follow a measured fertilization program, choosing products and methods with pets and children in mind and timing each application to how cool-season grass grows. Granules are swept from hard surfaces after every visit, and you receive clear guidance on when the lawn is ready for use again. The aim is deeper roots and steadier color through the season.
A season-long program of several applications, from spring through fall, builds a denser lawn than any single treatment.
On site: Usually under an hour for a typical residential lawn.
What The Visit Includes
- Applications timed to the needs of cool-season grass
- Rates matched to the condition of your lawn
- Even spreader coverage, without streaks or missed strips
- Extra care around play areas and dog runs
- Granules swept from walks, drives, and patios
- Clear re-entry timing for pets and children after each visit
- Follow-up notes on thin areas or uneven color
How We Handle The Details
- Applications are postponed ahead of heavy rain, so the product stays on the lawn instead of washing into storm drains.
- Granules are swept from concrete and pavers to prevent staining and runoff.
- Worn dog paths and compacted corners are noted, since they usually need overseeding as well as feeding.
- We rely on careful product choice and good timing rather than promises of instant results.
Questions Before You Book
How long until my dog can go back on the lawn?
It depends on the product and whether it needs to be watered in. We'll give you a specific window after each visit. As a rule, that means waiting until the product has been watered in and the grass is completely dry.
Does pet-safe mean harmless?
Not entirely, and we won't describe it that way. It means we choose products and methods with pets in mind and tell you clearly when the lawn is ready again. Any lawn product deserves ordinary care until that window has passed.
How many applications does a lawn need?
Most lawns in the western suburbs do best with several applications spread across the growing season. Soil, shade, and foot traffic all affect the plan, so we recommend a schedule once we have seen your lawn.
Will fertilizer burn my lawn in a heat wave?
The risk rises when heavy rates meet stressed grass in high heat. We avoid fertilizing during peak summer stress and keep rates measured. If a heat wave follows an application, keep the lawn watered and call us if you notice browning tips.
